Finding your kind inner voice will change your motherhood life.

A Self-Compassion Audio Series For New(ish) Moms

This self-paced, private audio series will shift the way you speak to yourself *and* support yourself through this season, so you can judge yourself less, trust yourself more, and finally experience what it is like to meet yourself with kindness.

If you need mental health support or you're in crisis: call the Postpartum Support International Helpline, the National Maternal Mental Health Line (US Only) or, in an emergency, call one of these crisis hotlines.

If there’s a voice in your head that questions your goodness and abilities, reminds you of your (very) high expectations, and ties your worth to what you do…I know that voice too.

What is wrong with me?

I should be better at this.

I'm the only one struggling.

I’m not doing enough.

 I’m failing at motherhood.

I’m a bad mom.

Nothing is wrong with you.

You are doing better than you think.

Your best is good enough.

If any of this sounds familiar,
let me reassure you

We just need *you* to believe it!

(I wouldn’t have wanted you to know!)

Finding my kind inner voice in motherhood didn’t happen until I:

+ learned more about matrescence and the ongoing transformation I was experiencing

+ questioned the expectations I had of myself (and of motherhood) and where these came from

+ understood the difference between my capacity and my capability and started to separate my worth from my productivity

Whether you are newly postpartum or a few years in, if you’re struggling to find your kind inner voice right now, let me help you find your kind.

There was a time when I was
more than a little mean to myself in motherhood, but you would never have known it from the outside.

Motherhood feels easier when you’re being kind to yourself

You think you’re failing,
but really…

you’re measuring yourself against impossible standards you haven’t questioned and judging yourself for changes to your capacity that make sense for the season you are in.

You think you’re failing, but really…you’re measuring yourself against impossible standards you haven’t questioned and judging yourself for changes to your capacity that make sense for the season you are in.

I’ve structured Kind Inner Voice to move you from:

understanding why kindness sometimes feels out of reach in early motherhood

to making sense of what your inner voice is trying to communicate

to choosing kinder words and actions

And with lots of insights, strategies, and opportunities for reflection to help you practice self-compassion in ways that actually make sense for your season, your nervous system, and your capacity.

This 5-part series will be released March 23-April 2.

Introducing: Kind Inner Voice

My goal isn’t to silence your inner critic, it’s to change your relationship with her.

What can you learn from her? What is she afraid of or trying to protect you from? What is she trying to get you to do and why?

This series will help you nurture your kind inner voice, but it will also help you understand why your inner critic is so loud in early motherhood, so when you notice that not-so-kind inner voice, you can get curious before you rebut, reframe, or rephrase to extend more kindness to yourself.

Early motherhood is challenging enough without you being your own worst critic.

Judge yourself less. Trust yourself more.

From Self-Criticism to Self-Compassion

Instead of asking “what’s wrong with me?” → you’ll be able to offer yourself reassurance like “this feels hard right now” → and be honest about what feels hard with those around you.

Instead of wondering “why can’t I do this?” → you’ll be able to remind yourself “this is new, and I am learning” → and trust yourself to know what to do—or learn how to do it—in a way that aligns with your values.

Instead of trying to talk yourself out of exhaustion → you’ll be able to tell yourself “you are giving so much right now” → and meet your needs with less pressure to perform as the “perfect mother.”

I thought I had already learned to speak to myself kindly, honor my emotions, and name shame…so when my inner critic started to get loud again in early motherhood, it surprised me.

She had a lot to say about how I was doing, who was doing it better, and what it meant about me.

I remember how hard it was to challenge that voice, and how long it took me to do so, and this is why I’m so passionate about helping you find your kind inner voice in motherhood, like, now!

Since my second postpartum, I have been on a mission to make friendly, flexible early motherhood support the standard…

This audio series combines my personal experience and my training in matrescence and perinatal mental health to guide you through this foundational inner work in a way that is honest, practical, and accessible…and I can’t wait to share it with you!

This series will not teach you how to bypass your emotions, ask you to repeat affirmations you don’t (yet) believe, or make you feel like you are the problem.

It will help you get more comfortable with ambivalence and the the “both/and” of motherhood, find the words that support your resilience, and recognize the origins of your inner “mean girl” so you can use those judgmental thoughts to change your experience.

Meeting yourself with kindness isn’t “toxic positivity.”

How is this different from
You Didn’t Expect This?

You Didn’t Expect This is an introduction to matrescence and if you haven’t listened to it yet, I encourage you to do so! It is a great starting point for understanding why your experience has been different than you expected.

Kind Inner Voice expands on what I discuss in You Didn’t Expect This, and focuses specifically on how motherhood is an invitation to self-compassion.

If you’ve been questioning yourself, judging yourself…and generally just being *less than kind* to yourself in your first years of motherhood, this series will help you experience a noticeable shift in the way you speak to yourself and support yourself through this season.

I’m not a “new” mom any more, is this still for me?

You do not need to be a new mom to offer yourself more kindness. While I will use examples primarily from postpartum and the first years of motherhood (including adding to the family), the insights and strategies can be applied to any season of motherhood.
